Trickle Creek Ranch

The best in Half-Arab working western color!

The stallions listed on this page are intended to give you an idea of both the kind of breeding we have retained for our breeding program and the stallions that we breed to our mares.  Every one of these stallions have National titles of at least Reserve Champion in the divisions of Arabian Reining, Arabian Cutting or Arabian Working Cow.  We believe that in order to have a solid breeding program, you must start with the bloodlines to back it up.  You'll note that our mares come from some of the oldest breeding programs around and some of the best-known stallions in the business.  When choosing a stallion to breed to, we look for pedigree, conformation, type, disposition, athleticism and a proven show record - not necessarily in that order.  A stallion has to have the whole package to enter into our breeding program - and we believe that you'll see by looking at the following list of stallions, that we've been VERY selective!

  • Maclintock V

We've had our eye on Maclintock V for quite some time!  We have always admired the Varian horses from afar and taken note of the great attention to detial and personal touches Sheila herself obviously puts into her program.  From her friendly newsletters, to the way she talks about her horses in their videos, she is definately "hands on" and we love that about her!  While most of Maclintock's wins in the showring were in the western pleasure arena, his foals have proven themselves in several areas including halter, hunter pleasure, western pleasure, sport horse and also in the working western classes.  Maclintock V will be bred to Red Nectar in 2010.  What do you get when you take the best stock from two of the oldest breeding programs in the business?  Success!  And we're sure this foal will be nothing short of what we've come to expect from both Varian and Al-Marah!  Hopefully, we'll get a filly that we can retain as a broodmare!
